This epistle is about love—God’s love which is unconditional. Salvation is not based upon attaining a certain level of acceptable behavior, but about faith in what Christ has done. One theme flows throughout this letter—the love of God. This is the love whereby the Savior gave His life for sinners who were unworthy by their own merit. Paul teaches about the spiritual gifts. Of all these gifts, the more excellent way is love and it is the greatest gift.
It is fitting the assembly most troubled with sin is the one to whom Paul sent this letter of love. Who is better than Paul to show love having himself received abundant grace from the gracious Savior? He concludes his letter with this, “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen” (1 Cor. 16:23-24).

The spiritual condition of the Corinthians was not commendable. Yet, Paul writes them a letter of edification not condemnation. He tells them to stop sinning and stop approving sin. He wants believers to rejoice in the grace and love of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are to fellowship in the blessings of the Holy Spirit. Believers are representatives of Christ. They must not tarnish the image of Christ. Their reputation in the community is important.
Presently, God is taking believers through the process of sanctification. “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together” (Rom. 8:16-17). Our struggles, trials, and tribulations on earth are part of God separating us from the world. We suffer like Christ while on earth to be glorified with Him for eternity!

This book is a verse-by-verse commentary on three of Paul’s epistles to his “sons in the faith.” Both Timothy and Titus received and believed Paul gospel. Then, they became teachers of the Gospel of Grace. These young men were facing opposition from outsiders as well as those within the assembly as they worked to teach the fellowship of believers.
Paul letters gives instruction as well as encouragement to these young pastors in their ministry. He reminds them of the sound doctrine they had received from him and gives instruction for correctly handling those within the assembly. All this he did as a father would instruct his son.
The books of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus are letters of love to all of those who will faithfully carry on the work of the Apostle Paul and his Gospel of the Grace of God.
Dr. Greene uses an easy-to-read verse-by-verse expository style. By using Scripture to teach Scripture, it will allow the reader to understand the original intent of Paul’s letters to his “sons in the faith.”

This book is about Paul’s two letters to the Thessalonians. They are two of his thirteen letters which are a critical part of the New Testament. He writes these letters to believers who are faithful and exemplary in their manner of living. This is in spite of trials, tribulations, and sufferings.
The Thessalonians knew Paul's teaching. However, they were worried about the Rapture and what would become of the believers who had predeceased them. His letters alleviate their fears, build their faith, and confirm the sound biblical teaching he had given them.
For believers who are concerned about the security of their salvation or their eternal destination, this book is for you. It will leave you confident both in your salvation and position in Christ. How are believers to handle this crazy world? Paul states that their eternal destination is secure and, for this reason, believers are to console, encourage, and comfort one another until His Calling.

The Acts of the Apostles is a history book. Written by Luke, it records the events of the apostles. It begins where the four gospels ended and records the Lord’s Ascension. Early believers who trusted in the Good News of the Kingdom, were instructed to do all that Christ had commanded. With the arrival of the Holy Spirit, a miraculous growth of Kingdom Believers began.
Then, persecution came. It threatened the very existence of the believers. At this point, we are introduced to Saul. On his way to Damascus in pursuit of believers, he has a divine encounter with the Risen Savior. This is a defining moment: Saul is converted and a dispensational transition begins. God makes Paul a “pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting” (1 Tim. 1:16). The remainder of Acts records this transition and the opposition to God’s plans.
This book precedes the remaining books of the Bible for an important reason. It explains their intent and purpose for believers today as well as those who will suffer in the Tribulation to come.

The book of Colossians is one of Paul’s thirteen letters. He writes to a church who is being threatened by false religions and vain philosophies of men. He wants them to be secure in their faith. The preeminence of Jesus Christ within the workings of the Holy Trinity is emphasized. Its purpose is to refute any challenge on Christ’s full humanity and His full divinity. This is the historical context in which this letter is being written. He reaffirms his original teachings, while encouraging them to grow in understanding of their unique position in Christ, their inheritance in Him, and the glorious hope of His Calling. Colossians is one of Paul’s shorter letters having only four chapters. However, its value for Christians today cannot be based by its size. Those who are inundated with challenges from various teachings and philosophies can use this book to guide their faith in biblical truth.
Philemon is a short book with only one chapter. It is the last in the series of Paul's epistles and, therefore, provides a perfect conclusion. It is a real-life example of someone who was a slave to sin, bought back from slavery by the blood, and saved by grace!

Ephesians is a wonderful book for Christians who need encouragement during trying times. It was written by the Apostle Paul to the churches in Ephesus but applies to all believers in Christ. He wrote to teach them there is so much more than salvation that awaits them. His desire for them is that their eyes be opened to understanding what is the blessed hope of His future calling and that they may know what are the riches of the inheritance in the saints.
Dr. Greene uses the verse-by-verse expository style allowing Scripture to teach Scripture. Paul stresses the importance of the believer gaining wisdom and knowledge of God through the study of the Word of God. By doing this, the believer can easily put on the armor of God, a protection much needed for today.

Galatians: Dispensationally Considered is a short but powerful book written by the Apostle Paul. He wrote it to the churches in Galatia. He this letter because he was concerned about the news he received. The Galatians had fallen from the purity of the gospel they received from him. They were adding conditions and requirements to the original gospel he delivered to them. By doing this, they were making it another gospel which, according to Paul, made it not a gospel at all.

This book is written to Christians as a series of letters addressed to Theophilus – One Who Loves God. It provides information most likely never heard by many Christians. The author holds to the belief the Bible–the Word of God–is the sole authority for Christians and the only source of absolute truth. Understanding the Bible in general and the end times in particular is important for all Christians. There are different ways in which the Bible can be interpreted, but which one is correct? One only has to look at the diversity of churches to know this is true.
The author examines the three predominant systems or interpretation and suggests a test of truth be applied to any interpretation of the Bible. If the test fails, then the system needs to be revised. He takes the reader through the three systems and uses textual proof to test them. Then, he leaves the decision to the reader as to which system they should choose.
This book is not for everyone. The author states there are two groups of people to whom this applies. First, he cannot teach someone who does not want to learn. Second, he cannot teach someone who already knows everything. For the remainder, those who want to understand the whole Bible as one single document written by God and confidently know the end times, this book is for you!

Philippians is one of Paul’s most beloved letters. He wrote it to a church who not only listened to what he taught but actually lived according to those teachings. He encourages them to continue to grow in the understanding of their unique relationship with the God of their salvation.
Although Philippians is a short letter with only four chapters, the letter is packed full of valuable information about living a life worthy of their calling. Paul writes about his own struggles, trials, and tribulations from which he also continually suffered. From his own personal experiences, he learned something valuable. Any believer can apply this lesson to be joyful and content as they sojourn in this world awaiting His Calling. Although written by the Apostle Paul to grace believers in Philippi, this book belongs to all believers who are in Christ.

Revelation can be an intimidating book. In Revelation: Dispensationally Considered, the author Dr. David Alan Greene provides you with the tools you need. By properly using these tools, you can understand the content and purpose of the book. Dr. Greene applies the tool of rightly dividing Scripture as the Apostle Paul instructed Timothy. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Using the literal-grammatical-historical method, he makes it clear to whom the content of the book was intended.
The author examines Daniel’s prophecy concerning the end times and the coming Kingdom. At the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy, God promised that He would: (1) finish the transgression, (2) make an end of sins, (3) make reconciliation for iniquity, (4) bring in everlasting righteousness, (5) seal up the vision and prophecy, and (6) anoint the most Holy Who is the King Eternal. Dr. Greene explains the difference between the application of the Gospel of Grace and the Gospel of the Kingdom. By the end of Revelation, each will have reached their promised conclusion. We suggest reading one of our Bible surveys before reading this book: Letters To Theophilus, The Glorious Destiny of Israel, or The Hidden Gospel. However, it is not necessary. Dr. Greene briefly summarizes any necessary information allowing the reader to do additional research if they desire. At the end, the reader will understand the content and purpose of Revelation.

Romans: Dispensationally Considered uses a simple approach to teach anyone interested in understanding the Bible how to learn, understand, and enjoy the Bible on their own!
This book is a verse-by-verse expositional commentary on the Book of Romans. It acknowledges Scripture as being the inspired, complete, and authoritative Word of God. Romans is the foundational book on Pauline doctrine and leads into the remainder of Paul's writings.
After Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus, God told Ananias, “Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel” (Acts 9:15). Paul's message to the Gentiles was both separate and unique from the message preached by the Twelve. An agreement was made between the Twelve and Paul that their distinct gospels would be carried to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and the Gentiles respectively. About their meeting in Jerusalem, Paul wrote, “When they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me towards the Gentiles:) . . . that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision” (Gal. 2:7-9).
Of all of Paul's writings, the book of Romans is definitive. It first establishes a legal argument justifying God's wrath. Then, Paul reveals God's plan for the redemption of those who choose to believe in the finished work of His Son on the Cross. All of Paul's subsequent epistles are built upon the Gospel of the Grace of God. This unique gospel, destined for the Gentiles, was revealed to Paul by the Resurrected Lord Himself. It is for that reason that Paul continually referred to as “my gospel” (Rom. 2:16, 16:25; 2 Tim. 2:8)

This book presents the glorious destiny of Israel in view of the end times. Dr. Greene begins by laying out a framework of seven days. G-d created the heavens and the earth in seven days and on the seventh day, Shabbat, G-d rested. Each week Jewish families gather to celebrate this Day of Rest. Celebrate they should because it ties into their future destiny. G-d will completely restore Creation, reestablish the throne of King David, and do all this before the Seventh Day – the eternal Shabbat!
The focus of this book is on Israel. It does not include any suggestion Jews should consider becoming a Christian. In fact, it encourages Jews to continue in their faith by confirming the promises and prophecies given to the fathers will be fulfilled. Although this book is not intended for Christians, anyone who wants to understand the glorious destiny of Israel should know this. The promises and prophecies made to the fathers apply solely to them – the sons and daughters of Abraham!

John the Apostle recorded his eyewitness account in his gospel. It is different from the other gospels. The three previous gospels recorded by Matthew, Mark, and Luke are called the synoptic gospels for a reason. These other writers followed a similar format that recounts the life, teaching, and work of Jesus Christ's earthly ministry. As such, the placement of John's gospel in Scripture builds upon the historical narratives written by the others. John's gospel focuses on the importance of having faith in Jesus Christ—the Messiah and the Son of God.
There is material in the other gospels that John chose not to include. It is not that this material was unimportant, but it was already covered in the others. This includes His testing in the wilderness, Jesus’ transfiguration, the discourse during the Lord’s Supper, the Sermon on the Mount, or the exorcism of demons. The Lord’s Prayer and many of Jesus' parables are not found in this gospel.
John is intent on presenting the deity of Jesus Who existed prior to Creation. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made" (Jn. 1:1-3).
The Gospel of John shows that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and the Son of God. The God Who sent Moses to deliver Israel from Egypt is the same God Who sent His Son to save Israel from their sin.

The Gospel of Luke is the third of the three synoptic gospels in the New Testament. The four gospels stand together as they record eyewitness testimony of the life, teachings, and miracles of Jesus, the Messiah. The synoptic gospels allow us to place these records side by side for easy comparison of the facts. Luke was the beloved doctor who wrote both the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He is believed to be one of the seventy who were commissioned by Jesus to carry the gospel message. Later, he was a companion to the Apostle Paul during his missionary trips.
When we read Luke, it is important to understand that all the gospels are a continuation of the Old Testament. Nothing had changed. The children of Abraham were still under the Mosaic Law. They lived in earnest expectation of the fulfillment of the promises and prophecies made to them by God. Two prophecies remained paramount in their minds. The first is the arrival of the Anointed One—the Messiah. He is Israel’s hope for salvation. The second is the promise of the eternal Kingdom. God made a promise to King David. God would raise up a Son of David Who would establish David’s throne forever. The Gospel of Matthew, in its first verses, establishes that Jesus is the rightful Heir to David’s throne.
All four gospels declare the good news of the Gospel of the Kingdom, yet Luke is best known for his narrative of the nativity. It is often read aloud at Christmas. He tells the life story of Jesus in an orderly way. He begins with the birth announcements of John the Baptist and Jesus, the Son of God. He continues with a detailed account of Jesus’ birth, ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection. He concludes with Jesus’ ascension and final instruction. The Gospel of Luke provides an excellent source for understanding the Messiah—His life and His mission.

The Gospel of Mark is the second of the three synoptic gospels in the New Testament. These gospels stand together as records from eyewitnesses of Jesus’ earthly ministry. They are the accounts of His life, teachings, and miracles. When the synoptic gospels are placed side by side they make it easy for comparison of their contents.
The four gospels must be seen as a continuation of the Old Testament. Nothing had changed. The children of Israel were still under the Mosaic Law. They waited with earnest expectation for the fulfillment of the promises and prophecies made to them by God. There were two prophecies that remained paramount in their minds. The first would be the arrival of the Anointed One — the Messiah. The second would be the fulfillment of the promise that God made to King David. God promised David that He “. . . will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom” and He goes on to say that He, “. . . shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne forever” (1 Chron. 17:11-12). The first verses in the Gospel of Matthew establish that Jesus is the rightful heir to David’s throne.
Mark begins his narrative with the appearance of John the Baptist. John was the one foretold as “the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord” (Mark 1:3). Immediately Jesus is tested in the wilderness and, upon completing that test, Mark records the beginning of Christ’s earthly ministry.
The Gospel of Mark is the shortest of the four gospels. In it, Mark records the words and works of Jesus Christ in order to establish that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and the Son of God. And, we will see that this is the basis of salvation under the Gospel of the Kingdom.

The Gospel of Matthew must be seen as a continuation of the Old Testament. Nothing has changed. They were and are still under the Mosaic Covenant and the Law. Israel waited in anticipation for the fulfillment of God’s promises and prophecies. God promised King David that his kingdom would become an eternal kingdom with David’s Son upon the throne. Matthew begins his gospel with a detailed geneaology of Jesus Christ. It establishes Him as the legitimate heir to David’s throne.
We considered Daniel’s prophecy which establishes ad biblical timeline for the fulfillment of the kingdom promise. Of the 490 years spoken of in Daniel’s prophecy, 483 years were completed at the point when the Messiah was “cut off.” There are still seven years remaining, but something happened. God did not change His mind. His promises and prophecies to Israel remain unchanged. This book examines Christ’s earthly ministry, His gospel message, and the importance of Israel is God’s plan to restore Creation.
To understand this book, I recommend a companion book entitled The Glorious Destiny of Israel: The Fulfillment of God’s Promises and Prophecies To Israel. For those looking for a deeper understanding of the Gospel of Matthew, these two books will serve you well. Both are dedicated to presenting the Bible dispensationally or rightly divided. This approach makes understanding the Bible so much easier and enjoyable when you see it from God’s perspective.

This book presents the whole Bible in an easy-to-understand style. God is its Author and we must see it from His perspective. God’s ultimate purpose is the complete restoration of all Creation. After Adam’s fall, God has worked systematically towards achieving this purpose. His progress is slow and methodical. Various stages must be completed before He can continue. These stages are shown and explained in a way you can understand them.
Most teachers and preachers present the Bible in snapshots. These snapshots are pictures frozen in time. They are wonderful to look at, but they do not show God’s overall progress towards achieving His ultimate purpose. Like the seven days of God’s Creation, each age has its own purpose.
In this current age, people are concerned. They are unsure of the future and what will happen to them. There is good news! Presently, there is an offer from God on the table. Yet, most people are totally unaware of it. This book answers a lot of questions. It makes clear a gospel that was once hidden, “but now” is revealed. Once you understand His offer, you can decide to reject or accept it.

The Seven Hebrew Epistles: Dispensationally Considered is a compilation of seven New Testament books. Each of these were letters written to those saved by the Gospel of the Kingdom. The Twelve Apostles were chosen and appointed by Jesus Christ to carry this Kingdom Gospel to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Paul explained to the Gentiles, “Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers” (Rom. 15:8). Jesus’ earthly ministry was to the Jews alone. The time of the Gentiles had not yet come until Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles.
The New Testament begins with the Age of Moses (Law) and it will end with it. What we see today is the Age of the Gentiles which is only temporary. Jesus came to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to the Jews for whom it was intended. “These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 10:5-7).
In Matthew 24, Jesus explains the end times to His Apostles. He was asked by His disciples, “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matt. 24:3). He included this warning, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matt. 24:13-14). The book of Hebrews and these seven epistles were written for true and faithful Israel. They are to guide, warn, and encourage those who must “endure unto the end.”
