Surveys Of The Bible

 The first group includes what we call Surveys of the Bible. These examine the Bible as a whole. It helps to establish an overall understanding of God’s revelation through the Word of Truth. Some people are not familiar with the dispensational tool. When applied correctly, this tool helps the reader to see the divisions or dispensations or ages as God works to restore His Creation. Much like colleges have prerequisites to their more advance classes, we recommend these surveys as a good place to begin. For people who desire to read and understand their Bible, these surveys will help them achieve this goal.

Commentaries

The second group are referred to as commentaries. Each commentary takes the reader through a book or books of the Bible verse-by-verse. The technical term for this is an expositional commentary. Commentary are never to be considered equal to Scripture as Scripture alone remains our sole authority. The authors our commentaries are trained and experienced in rightly dividing the Word of Truth. They share with the reader with their insight for the interpretation of the verses. Every believer is called to be like the noble Bereans “in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, [to verify] whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11).
